From office-based procedures to robotic surgery, Dr. Sawkar provides the full spectrum of minimally invasive urologic care for men and women in Orange County. Consultations are at the office at 18302 Irvine Blvd, Suite 200, in Tustin, or by telehealth; robotic surgery and Aquablation are performed at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, where he is Chief of Urology.
Enlarged prostate
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is the most common reason men see a urologist after 50: a weak stream, waking at night to urinate, or never feeling empty. The practice offers all four modern procedures, so the choice follows your prostate's size and shape rather than the one tool a clinic happens to own. UroLift and Rezūm are done in the office. PAE is urologist-led: Dr. Sawkar decides whether it fits and handles all of your care, and an interventional radiologist performs the embolization in the practice's own outpatient lab. Aquablation treats any prostate size, and Dr. Sawkar has performed more than 250 of them, the most of any surgeon in Orange County.
Cancer care
Prostate and kidney cancer surgery is done robotically with the da Vinci system at Providence St. Joseph Hospital. For prostate cancer that means nerve-sparing prostatectomy when surgery is the right call, and active surveillance when it is not. For kidney tumors, partial nephrectomy removes the tumor while preserving the rest of the kidney.
Stones and vasectomy
Kidney stones are treated with shockwave lithotripsy or laser ureteroscopy, followed by prevention care so the next one is less likely; same-day appointments are available for acute stone pain. No-scalpel vasectomy is done in the office in under 30 minutes, with no stitches, minimal recovery, and the choice of all-inclusive cash pricing or insurance.
Men's health
Confidential care for erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, and Peyronie's disease. Options run from in-office shockwave therapy and PRP to lab-guided testosterone treatment with ongoing monitoring, Xiaflex injections or traction for Peyronie's, and penile implants when pills no longer work. Implants have among the highest satisfaction rates of any ED treatment, roughly 9 in 10 men, and are typically covered by insurance.
